This Snowman Holiday Card is a fun way to send a message and holiday cheer to friends and family. So I decided to make holiday insert cards. Never made before, but they really did turn out cute and I can say it’s easy to make. So please enjoy!
This project is made using a Cricut cutting machine and my Cricut design project.
Snowman holiday insert card material list
- 2 Cardstock paper – 8.5″x11″ unless you want to make the card larger
- Cricut mat – light
- Scoring wheel & fine tip blade
- Masking tape (optional) – I like to use a few small pieces to help hold my paper down
In Cricut Design Space, open my Snowman Holiday Insert Card project. Click customize if you need to change the size of the project. Otherwise click Make It and follow the instructions. This project uses a scoring wheel, if you have a scoring mat and blade instead, just hide the scoring line on the project before you cut.
Please note, I highly recommend a sharp fine point blade and a sticky light mat. If you have a dull cutting blade or dirty cutting mat you’re likely to experience issues. Another note, I also recommend trying this on a scrap piece of paper before committing to your final piece of cardstock. This way if you have a problem, the paper gets snagged, cuts off or anything else then you can work around it and fix it versus ruining your main cardstock paper. Now it’s not a must, but I’m just telling you this from experience.
Different paper options
I absolutely love the variations you can make with this card that completely changes the look of it. So if you plan to make a few of these for family and friends, consider changing the insert card. Just by switching out the look of the insert card, it truly makes each card unique.
- Sparkle
- Texture
- Shiny
- Pattern – like a scrap book paper
- Solid
