Awaken your oceanic soul with a coastal mood board to start the week. Welcome to Mood Board Monday, where we are riding the waves or burying our feet in the sand with a coastal inspired theme that promises serenity, cool colors and the invigorating sense of the ocean.
This mood board starts with bright colors pulled directly from the sea and sky. Also additions of light and dark neutrals mimic the color of sand, rocks and the earth. The beautiful colors can be found all throughout nature and life from design and decor to food and drink.
We (my significant other and I) visited Honeymoon Island, FL for a day date and because the beach is my happy place. Inspiration is everywhere and that beautiful day inspired this Coastal Mood Board. So many elements from the beach can be considered for inspiration. The colors you see, the textures you feel and even the smell can play a role too.

Whether you are looking for inspiration for design in a space, ideas for an art project or craft, or other task, consider incorporating various materials. Driftwood could be used for decoration or as a piece of furniture. Seashells and sand dollars can serve as delicate accents. Sand, water and sea can equally be used to create a serene background or other treatment.
Overall, let this Mood Board Monday inspire you to create something that brings the shore and the sense of escape to your day, any day of the week.
