Find washi tape craft ideas below. Washi Tape is a decorative tape that is available in a large variety of styles, patterns, and colors. While it may be used mostly with scrapbooking, and journaling, it actually makes really cute art, crafts and décor pieces.
Washi tape craft ideas
Decorate or style up plain cardstock or greeting cards with washi tape.
Add festive tape for holiday themed cards, use colorful patterns to create birthday cake cards, or simple cards for any occasion.
Add some bling to a plain clipboard.
Take it from boring to beautiful. I actually added washi tape to a clipboard years ago, back when I was in Jamberry Nails, and had a team named JamForceOne. Those were fun days. The washi tape clipboard turned out so cute, I still use it today.
Create cute art with washi tape.
Cut out shapes from the tape, or create a design using the tape. Add a frame and hang it on the wall.
Speaking of walls, adding washi tape directly on the wall can actually create non traditional frames. Don’t have a frame? Grab yourself some washi tape and make your own. Simple or bold and dramatic, get even more creative by using the tape to create different wall art designs.
Add patterns and/or colors to a light switch cover.
Decorate clothespins.
Add washi tape to wood chipboard shapes.
I love the ampersand character, so I used a wood cutout and decorated it with cute patterns.
Decorate flameless candles
Create toothpick flags.
Spruce up your next charcuterie board or use as cupcake toppers.
Planner inserts.
Back when I used to have Happy Planners I would make my own inserts for each week. Washi tape worked great to add some style to my lists.
More ways to decorate with washi tape
