Something new is brewing here at Emjaybee Design.
Emjaybee Design Newsletter
A newsletter is in the works and coming soon. Coming September, I will have a way to sign up/subscribe to receive emails to keep up with new posts and updates for any of my projects, crafts, and any Etsy Shop additions. July was here and gone so quickly, lots of unexpected things happened that caused a delay and a push back for the release of my newsletter. If you’re curious what has been going on, check out the behind the scenes look below.
Art in my Etsy Shop
New art in my Etsy shop. Out with the old, in with the new. My shop is getting a refresh. After having the same old stuff, I think it’s time to clear that all out and begin with adding new art that I’ve been working on. Soon there will be digital art, and prints of my watercolor art. Watercolor painting used to be intimidating for me until I started practicing and playing around with different techniques. Now I’m finding a true love and feeling of relaxation through watercolor and I’m excited to share that with all of you.
Currently available is my I love you to the Moon & Back watercolor art. Two digital downloads, one in blue and one in grayscale. I love moons, celestial stuff, and this moon & back piece represents that for me.

New crafts and projects
Since I was unable to deliver any fun projects and crafts last month, I’m excited to finally get them added here for you to enjoy. Something new, a few projects I’ve been working on: paper quilling, ways to decorate with washi tape, spooky spell book, fall printables and more.
Life outside Emjaybee Design
As mentioned, unexpected life happens. July seemed non existent. I had a plan for Emjaybee Design and unfortunately I had to pivot and put all my focus elsewhere. Our Tiramisu girl, one of our chickens, came up with sour crop around her first birthday. Boy, that was fun. NOT. As a new chicken mom, we haven’t dealt with any issues until then.
At first I tried a few home remedies in an attempt to clear it. It seemed to work but came back right away, so it wasn’t fixed. I tried a couple other things including getting some cream from the store and ta-da. After three weeks she was back outside with her sisters and she’s been great ever since.
I lost a few weeks while having her in the house and focusing all my time on getting her healthy, but most importantly, she is healthy. Let’s say it was not how I imagined spending July since I had so much planned for Emjaybee Design. Now it’s August and time to catch back up.
